Project Overview
Platform: Joomla. Work type: Migration & Upgrades. Completion date: 21 August 2024. Role: Lead Developer.
The Challenge
The site needed to move to Joomla 5 without losing content, layout or functionality. Unsupported extensions had to be replaced, and the live site could not be put at risk during the move.
What I Did
Built a secure staging copy first and migrated the complete site there. Upgraded Joomla to version 5, reviewed every installed extension for compatibility, replaced unsupported extensions with suitable alternatives, and preserved the layout, menus, articles and categories. Tested everything before updating the live site.
Results
Migration to Joomla 5 completed with content, layout and functionality retained. Delivered and accepted on 21 August 2024. The client left a 5-star review.
